Megan is a typical Viking. She works, takes a full course load and still finds times to help others. She recently went on a "On A Mission" trip to the Dominican Republic. She spent eight days working in rural villages bring much needed healthcare to isolated communities.
What brought you to CSU?
When I first began to look at universities, I thought that I really wanted to go away from home but as I began to look at all CSU had to offer, I decided to come here. I was offered a scholarship through the scholars program and I fell in live with the campus. The location is perfect for a nursing student because of how close we are to the major Cleveland hospitals. The nursing program here is also very competitive and the education I am receiving is amazing.
Major and GPA
I am currently a senior in the nursing program and will be graduating in May 2016. My cumulative GPA is 3.75.

I feel that it makes me a part of the university as well as the city of Cleveland. I am a very proud Clevelander and it is such a wonderful thing to watch both the university and city flourish.

The connections and friendships I have made. I have met individuals with like interests and have learned so much from them.

Plans after graduation?
I want to travel. I plan to use my Nursing degree to make a global impact. I am currently planning a trip to Nepal. I would like to have many more experiences like this and for longer periods of time after graduation. Everybody should have access to the needed materials and knowledge to be healthy.
Megan is planning a trip to Nepal with the International Volunteer H.Q. organization from Dec. 21 to Jan. 9. She is raising funds to make the volunteer trip. To help Megan reach her fundraising goal, go to gofundme.com/tq4na4cs
