CSU's master’s program in Diversity Management celebrates 20 years

This past August, the 20th class of Ohio business leaders began their professional journey into culturally competent leadership. They gather for classes at CSU for three full days once a month for a deep dive into effective 21^st century leadership and change management skill-building and graduate 21 months later with a Master’s degree!

This program was started by CSU in partnership with the Cleveland Roundtable, a coalition of community and business leaders, “to … revitalize the city and enhance the quality of life in Cleveland.” We are celebrating 20 years of helping leaders to develop the skills needed for a 21^st century workforce. DMP is the only MA program of its kind in the United States. It combines diversity management with a robust leadership curriculum to bring out the best in leaders.

Fast forward two decades and Cleveland is once again in revitalization mode! The Diversity Management Program is a key contributor in this endeavor, having graduated over 250 leaders who are active all over the state and beyond in places like Atlanta, London, Morocco, Chicago, Chapel Hill, Washington, D.C. and L.A.

Our weekend, Executive-MBA-style Master’s program (DMP) is specially designed for mid-career professionals who have mastered the basics of their industries but aspire to being more effective in motivating and leading their employees.

Many CSU alumni have returned to earn their Masters with us because they realize that whatever industry they are in, from banking to healthcare, DMP offers unique leadership skills that are relevant for every leader!
