Upstairs and Downstairs at Stan Hywet

Stan Hywet Hall is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2015. From the opulence of the Manor House to the living and working quarters of the domestic staff, get a true “upstairs/downstairs” look into this historic estate.
10:30 a.m. – Noon
Be transported back into the lives of the wealthy Seiberling family on this guided Manor House tour. The 64,500-square-foot mansion contains 23 fireplaces, 21,455 panes of glass and 95 percent of the furnishings are original to the home.
Noon – 1:00 p.m.
Enjoy lunch on your own at the Carriage House.
1:00 – 2:30 p.m.
Take an exclusive guided behind-the-scenes tour of the living and working quarters of the estate’s domestic staff.
As an added bonus, the CSU tour will feature a Stan Hywet Quest and Geocaching experience — a scavenger hunt using GPS clues. When both guided tours and lunch are complete, CSU alumni and friends are welcome to explore the Corbin Conservatory, Carriage House, Gardens and the Gate Lodge (birthplace of Alcoholics Anonymous) on their own.
