Joseph Masters earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1979. He also holds a Juris Doctorate from Case Western Reserve University.
From 1997 to 2015, he served as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of URS Corporation. He was also URS’ chief compliance officer and a member of the management committee. During this time, URS grew from $100 million to $11 billion in annual revenues to become one of the world’s largest professional, technical and construction services companies.
Prior to joining URS, Mr. Masters was in private law practice in Cleveland, principally representing contractors and design professionals. He is a long-time supporter of the Washkewicz College of Engineering, as well as an advisor to investors in the engineering and construction industries.
